Working with Bookspeed
That’s easy. If you’re interested in sourcing and selling books with Bookspeed, fill out our online form to open a trade account. Someone will then be in touch to help you get started.
Yes! We ship out more than 2 million books a year to retailers all over the UK, so the demand for books remains strong. We sell all types of books to complement any type of product. Our customers report that books are popular for gifting, exploring an interest, or as a memento of a day out. Social media has been a driver of book sales among younger generations too.
We supply thousands of books from hundreds of UK publishers including well-known publishing brands, specialists and small independent businesses. If you are looking for something specific that is not listed on our website, get in touch and we can find out if we can source it for you.
Any business or trade buyer in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.
While we don’t export internationally, in some circumstances, working with a UK shipper, we can work with international customers.

As you can imagine we receive hundreds of enquiries, so please be patient and we will respond as soon as we can.
Placing an order
Our minimum order value is £250, excluding VAT. You need to order a minimum quantity of three for titles that are priced £20 RRP and under.
Carriage is free for orders that meet our minimum order requirements, except for customers in the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Customers can be considered for a credit account after placing and paying for two orders. You can pay by:

Transfer directly into our account, using your account code as the reference.

Card payments
To pay by card, please call 0131 467 8101. We accept most major debit and credit cards (but do not accept AMEX). All payments must be made in Sterling.
If your items are available in our warehouse, you can expect a delivery within a few days of placing an order. We ship items via our courier partner DPD using a next-working-day service. The cut off for next-day delivery is 2pm.
If you’re based in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands or the Channel Islands your items may take an extra day or two.
For items that are not in stock, we can usually source these for you within five to ten days, unless the products are not yet published or reprinting.

We’re always disappointed to hear something hasn’t met your expectation. Email us at sales@bookspeed.com to tell us what’s wrong and we’ll do what we can to help.
We always work with our customers to ensure they have the most suitable range for their shop. If on the odd occasion your products turn out not to be a good fit, we are happy to discuss whether we can accept any returns.
Please email any return requests to sales@bookspeed.com, and we can consider on a case-by-case basis.
Any items returned must:
- have been bought through Bookspeed
- be in perfect resaleable condition
- be packaged safely for their return journey to us.
Unauthorised returns, or items damaged in transit due to improper packing, will not be accepted for credit and will be returned at the customer's expense.

Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an e-mail from our courier DPD with the tracking details. If you’re not receiving this communication, please email sales@bookspeed.com, and we can activate that for you.
You can log on to update your contact details using our online form.
For any changes to billing addresses or ownership changes contact us at sales@bookspeed.com.
Using our website
If we don’t have a book on our website, we may be able to source it for you. Please contact sales@bookspeed.com with the details. Minimum quantity and value policies will apply.
We publish stock availability for any product listed on our website. You’ll need to have a trade account and be logged into our website to view this information.
You’ll need to have a trade account and be logged into our website to view the cost price for each item on our website.
Any items added to your basket will stay there until you submit the order or clear it.
