ANGUS (BRITAIN IN OLD PHOTOGRAPHS) (PB)

Once known as Forfarshire, Angus is an area full of rich contrasts, yet it’s the hidden history of the ordinary, and not so ordinary, people of Angus in the course of their daily lives and work that is perhaps most compelling. This selection of over 200 images, drawn from the collection held at Angus Archives, features herring packers, seaside entertainers, tinkers, provosts, factory workers, raspberry pickers and fishwives, among others. It also provides a nostalgic insight into the changing history of the area over the last century.
