Description
At the turn of the 20th century, Miss Kate Cranston opened four Glasgow Tearooms to the public, including the famous Willow Tea Rooms. Driven by her entrepreneurial shrewdness, capacity for hard work, and adventurous interest in the new, the Tearooms became thriving centres of Glasgow society. Today they are best known for having been designed and furnished by talented young artists like Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Reissued in a larger format with updated text and colour illustrations.
