Highlights from our 2025 spring and summer range
It might not be everyone’s favourite month, but we love January. It’s when we get to think about the new season ahead and showcase all the books we’ve fallen in love with.
We’ll be revealing our spring and summer ranges at this year’s Top Drawer and Spring Fair. In the meantime, these are some of the themes and new titles we’ll be highlighting for the new season.
Making wellbeing accessible
We all deserve better health and wellbeing. Looking after ourselves doesn’t have to be about following a punishing gym regime or a strict diet in the pursuit of better health. We’ve seen a growth in books that promote a more compassionate and realistic approach to wellbeing, often targeting the women who are juggling multiple life roles and not taking enough time to look after themselves. We love the simple fitness tips offered in our January Book of the Month How to be a Fit Bird, while Romance the Every Day encourages everyone to take time to enjoy simple pleasures.
Inspiration
Earthy tones
Earthy tones have been creeping back into interiors over the past couple of years, and with Pantone declaring Mocha Mousse as its colour of 2024, maybe it’s a sign that we’re all moving on from millennial pink? Many of our interiors book picks for next season will complement these popular earth tones. Creative Homes features a gorgeous on-trend soft brown cover, while the latest book from Interior Design Masters alum Banjo Beale, A Place in Scotland, celebrates a design aesthetic derived from nature.
Inspiration
Participating in the big cultural moments
Every year, there’s a huge stadium tour or movie release that seems to dominate the cultural conversation and influence trends, whether you’re a fan or not. Last year we had Taylor Swift, and the previous year it was Barbie’s moment to shine. In 2025, the hotly anticipated Oasis reunion tour will bring back some 90s nostalgia and prompt new gift ideas for the middle-aged men (and women) in our lives. The Wicked movie has drawn a huge following and next year’s second instalment will ensure that the appetite for this franchise will endure.

Eating for health
Greater focus on the ways our diets contribute to our overall health has prompted a surge in demand for more education, information and inspiration around how to eat better. Gut health and unprocessed alternatives are among the popular topics we are seeing time and again in recent and upcoming food books. We like Health Shots, a petite recipe book responding to the trend for drinking energy-boosting tonics. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has also entered the gut health space. Last year he brought out How to Eat 30 Plants a Week, with an introduction from gut-health guru Tim Spector.
Inspiration
Retro children’s books
As Millennials take over parenting duties, we’re seeing a resurgence in children’s characters from previous decades. Miffy celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2025, so expect to see this beloved bunny everywhere. Whereas Babar, Moomins and Brambly Hedge are also finding new fans. These kids’ classics have a timeless charm that will appeal to parents or grandparents looking to introduce the little people in their lives to the characters and stories they once loved.
